char.gy have announced the successful installation of their 2000th public EV charge point.
The company have installed 500 charge points in just the last 4 weeks. char.gy are working hard alongside councils and partners, to make lamppost charging an affordable and accessible way to provide residents without driveways the access they need to EV charging.
Launched in 2016, char.gy’s focus is to solve issues with charging accessibility for those who do not have access to off-street parking. The company predominantly focuses on building a software platform, manufacturing charge points and then selling these to local authorities in England. Zouk invested £6.4m into char.gy in 2021 by way of the CIIF fund, to help the rapid rollout of charge points. CIIF and companies like char.gy continue to ensure councils are working towards building a strong infrastructure for sustainable solutions and this installation marks another huge milestone for char.gy.
